Chronic Illness Page: About

Chronic illness is an inevitable result of the modern day diet and lifestyle. When an illness becomes chronic, it begins to impact multiple body systems.

Therefore using a holistic approach supporting the whole person including one's physical, mental, and emotional health, while taking social factors into consideration is essential for true healing. 'Holistic' healthcare where all aspects of the patient are considered in chronic illness and treatment, is becoming a commonly used term that is widely accepted as a good thing to do but in practice is rarely applied.

Appointments at Ignite Heal are centred around understanding these contributing factors to give you the information needed to pick the right tools and get you back on a path to well-being.

Common contributing factors may include food intolerances and allergies, hidden infections and viruses, nutrient deficiencies, leaky gut and digestive issues and chronic stress. Clinical evaulation and testing methods are used to access common contributing factors and individual symptoms based on the body's needs using urine, genomic and digestive evaluations.

"Before you heal someone, ask him if he's willing to give up the things that made him sick"

(Hippocrates circa 460-357 BC)

"Chronic diseases are the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. Disease rates from these conditions are accelerating globally, advancing across every region and pervading all socioeconomic classes" ~ World Health Organisation, Chronic diseases and health promotion.
